Fallschirmjager
Thomas Snively - a political appointment or a real gamechanger? Thursday evening crowds had gathered at Idlewood gas station for a car meetup - a social event for enthusiasts, proprietors or just citizens that were looking to experience something new. But the event came to a violent end when an armed gunman fired at an LSPD officer. Gunfight rapidly ensued with another gunman joining the fray and as a result, said LSPD officer was fighting for his life, outnumbered and outgunned. Though some reports indicate that two gunmen were also exchanging shots between themselves, LSPD has yet refrained from any commentary regarding the incident. Unfortunately this is not the first such incident to take place in Idlewood. Both districts of Idlewood and Ganton have seen uproaring gun violence in the past two weeks, with at least 3 killed. Why is this happening and what precautions has LSPD taken to combat this scum? Newly appointed Chief of Police, Thomas Snively is here to give us our answers. When inquiring whether Chief Snively’s appointment was a direct response to the increase in crime around East Los Santos, he responded by saying that “LSPD has been a very idle department for a long time,” primarily focused on petty crimes but never addressing the greater issues it faces. We also inquired whether there are plans to address the sudden rise in street violence to which the chief responded by saying that the first and most important step is to increase the presence and regularity of law enforcement patrols to more effectively combat public and domestic violence. Lastly, we asked whether the chief has a message to criminals out there, both involved and facilitating the surge of crime. His answer was short and straight to the point : My message to the public is simple - we are marking our territory as well. We are more and more showing the public we are here to serve, and making the crime rate as low as we can. We promise that this criminal activity will come to and end, and that the streets will be safe to walk in at night. Though time will tell whether Chief Snively is just another appointment in a long line of Police Chiefs, or whether his appointment will result in a noticeable drop in crime. Claims of incompetence directed at Los Santos Fire Department The last few weeks various reports of late responses, inadequate treatment and overall complaints have been directed at LSFD, in particular, their Eastern Los Santos Division. Some have blamed it on LSFD being too understaffed, while others have called out administration specifically. LSFD has as of yet refused to comment on the situation but an inside source speaks of serious lack of administrative presence and recruitment drive.
