W/S ASIAN BOYZ CRIP

The Asian Boyz, also known as ABZ or AB-26, is an Asian American street gang with disputed origins: the FBI traces its formation back to the 1970s, while the Huffington Post credits Filipino American Marvin "Shyboy" Mercardo with founding the gang in the 1990s in Southern California.

Allied with the Crips, the Asian Boyz operate in 28 cities across 14 states in the U.S. The gang originally formed in Long Beach in response to harassment of Asian immigrants by the East Side Longos, a Mexican American gang based on Anaheim Street.

The gang's colors differ by region; on the East Coast, members wear forest green, black and yelow, and often have dragon head tattoos with crystal globes. On the West Coast, their colors align with the Crips, favoring blue. While the gang originated in Long Beach, it has expanded to various factions across the U.S., particularly on the East Coast. According to the FBI's 2011 National Gang Assessment, the Asian Boyz have members in states including California, Massachusetts, Missouri, Noth Carolina, Pennsylvania and Utah.

PRESENT ERA

The Asian Boyz are presently active throughout New York and Los Angeles. Their most active cities are The Bronx (HS) and the East side of LA. They have a minor presence in Brooklyn (HS). In the largely rural counties and small farming towns, they are virtually non-existent.

Across the United States, the Asian Boyz are estimated by the police and federal authorities to have as many as 2,000 members spread across 14 U.S. States, with the gang being concentrated in major cities. The gang is mostly found in urban centers, but also operates in suburban and rural areas. The gang is known to have hundreds of members in state and federal prisons, and additionally has a minor presence in the United States military. Gangbangers usually prefer to enlist in the US Army or the US Marines, with the hopes that they will be placed into Combat Arms units in order to obtain advanced tactical and strategic training.

The criminal gang is culturally distinct from the criminal gang on the east coast. The gang on opposite coasts uses different colors, incorporates different slang vocabulary and falls under separate central leadership.

The Asian Boyz across the country are predominately made up of Southeast Asian immigrants and their descendants. Lao, Khmer, Hmong and Vietnamese young people make up most of the ethnic demographic.

Asian Boyz are, or have been involved in a wide range of criminal activies, and although the set is the one of the newer gangs coming out of Los Santos, they have earned themselves a notorious reputation, and there have been numerous stories that has earned Asian Boyz their respect in the streets. The gang is commonly involved in, and dare known to distribute narcotics such as methamphetamine, marijuana, and other illegal substances. Although the gang's influence started in Long Beach, California, the gang has expanded throughout other parts of the United States.

1 LIFE 2 LIVE, 2 6ICC TO DIE - GANTON

Ganton's 1226 Asian Boyz are one of the most visible and are believed to be one of the most violent Los Santos street gangs, alongside Brimstone Projects (or) Brimtown Mafia.Their territory or turf is known to be the Ganton. That means that the "Asian Boyz" can be found around the center of the Ganton, the Ganton Gym and around the Ganton Projects.

Ganton is an impoverished district in the eastern part of South Central Los Santos, San Andreas. It is bordered by Idlewood to the west, East Los Santos to the north, Willowfield to the south, and East Beach to the east.

Ganton serves as a stronghold for several gangs, including the 1226 Asian Boyz. The area has a very high crime rate, with prostitution, gang violence, car theft, robbery, murder, and drug-related issues being prevalent.

Ganton is divided into two main areas. The first area is primarily residential, featuring small, single-family homes, a bar called Ten Green Bottles, and a long street running from the Ganton/Idlewood border to the end of Grove Street. This area also includes a small bridge leading into East Los Santos and a road that connects to the second part of Ganton. The second area includes the Ganton Courts housing projects, a southern road leading into Willowfield, and a tall bridge that crosses over Grove Street and connects to East Los Santos.

1 LIFE 2 LIVE, 2 6ICC TO DIE

The faction's main goal is to maintain a high standard of roleplay by accurately replicating the real-life Asian Boyz street gang. Proper character development is crucial, as we believe factions are shaped by individuals and groups capable of creating unique characters. We encourage members to start "small," ideally with a character of an appropriate age and a backstory that aligns with the setting.
